This hat is styled after the heroes of the silver screen in the early days of Hollywood such as Tom Mix and Tim McCoy though we named this hat after our friend Doc McCoy. These hats are bigger than life because heroes back then were bigger than life. Contrary to public opinion, the cowboys in the nineteenth century did not wear hats such as this, but it makes for an eye-catching piece of headwear today.
