The Buffalo Hunter - $ 90 Coffee color is shown

bridger1.JPG (6258 bytes)

After the beaver were trapped out, many mountain men turned to other occupations. Some used their skills to hunt the vast buffalo herds for commercial profit. A hat like this would have been a common sight among those who relied on a long range rifle and a keen eye to make a living. This is a no-nonsense working mans hat and was probably the most common hat of the entire 19th century in America.

The Mayor - $ 105 Coffee color is shown

gettysburgcoffee.JPG (6707 bytes)

This is a hat with style, flair, and dignity all in one package. Although seen in many period photographs, it is equally at home in this century.  Bound edge and curled brim.

The Trapper - $ 90 Pecan color is shown

This hat has a hint of the old southwest.  It can be made with a flat brim or a brim dipped front and back as in this example. Seen almost as often as the Buffalo Hunter.
